• 6 mint leaves
• 1/4 ounce simple syrup
• 1/4oz OysterLiquor- ChappellCreek
• 2 ounces bourbon (1792 Bourbon - delish)
• Garnish: mint sprig (SlapThat!)
• Garnish: OceanBitters - ChappellCreek Infusion
• Side - 6 Freshly Shucked ChappellCreek Oysters
• Outfit - Fresh Seer-Shucker suit, and/or Fabulous Fascinator (Oysternator…)
Steps
1. In a Julep cup or rocks glass, lightly muddle the mint leaves in the simple syrup.
2. Add the bourbon then pack the glass tightly with crushed ice.
3. Stir until the cup is frosted on the outside.
4. Top with more crushed ice to form an ice dome, and garnish with a mint sprig and a few drops of bitters (optional).
Freshly Shuck 6 Chappell Creek Oysters, tipple out and save off 1/4 of Oyster liquor for the cocktail
- Arrange the Oysters on an Iced plate - to be served with the Julep!
- (Might just Shuck&Tipple one Oyster with Bourbon neat, while shucking…)
ShuckerPaddy’s OceanBitters - ChappellCreek - Infuse a clean, neutral spirit (IcebergVodka works well) with ChappellCreek Oyster Shells (add a touch of seaweed for added Oceany Fun)
Place freshly shucked Oyster Shells (No sauce or lemon - just the fresh shells - in a 125ml mason jar, top off with the vodka, close the lid and let sit at room temp, for several days until the taste is to your preference)
